Chicago Ferrari Rental
Prancing Horses
on the Magnificent Mile
Two Maranello-built convertibles in the Chicago stable, ready for same-day delivery to the Loop, the Gold Coast, the lakefront, and either major airport. Hand-over by a uniformed steward. No kiosk, no waiting line, no compromise.
Why a Ferrari in Chicago
A Ferrari asks something of a city that most cities cannot give. It wants a long street, an attentive driver, and a sense of occasion. Chicago is that city. The Magnificent Mile at night is genuinely one of the best boulevards in North America for a Ferrari - five lanes wide, the skyscrapers of Michigan Avenue lit up overhead, the bronze lions at the Art Institute keeping watch to the south. A 488 Spider or an F8 Spider at slow cruise under those skyscrapers is an experience that does not translate to any other car.
Where the Lamborghini is theater, the Ferrari is a signature. The badge is smaller. The sound is higher. The body language is more restrained until you ask it for more, at which point it answers in full Italian. Renting a Ferrari in Chicago is the move for clients who want to make an entrance without announcing it.
Ferrari 488 Spider vs Ferrari F8 Spider
Both cars are twin-turbo V8 convertibles with retractable hardtops. The 488 Spider is the more mechanical, more classically Ferrari-feeling of the two - 661 horsepower, naturally lightweight, the platform that made the mid-engine Ferrari convertible a household name. The F8 Spider is the evolution: 710 horsepower, a redesigned aero package, sharper responses. Both cars drop the roof in under 14 seconds at up to 28 mph. For first-time Ferrari renters we suggest the 488 Spider. For clients who have driven one before and want the sharpest thing we have, the F8 Spider is the one.
Ferrari vs Lamborghini in Chicago
This is the single most-asked question we get at the house. The short answer is that Lamborghini is louder and Ferrari is more deliberate. The long answer is in our blog - Ferrari vs Lamborghini in Chicago - which walks through use cases and character in detail.
Lake Shore Drive at sunset
The single best drive in Chicago for a Ferrari is Lake Shore Drive at golden hour. Start at Hollywood Beach on the north end, drop the hardtop before Fullerton, and let the car gather speed toward the skyline. By Oak Street Beach the sun is on the downtown towers and the whole drive turns bronze. Both our Ferraris are tuned for this kind of cruise - they are happy at 45 mph in the same way they are happy at 120 on a German autobahn.
Wedding car rental
Ferrari is the second most-requested wedding car in our Chicago stable, just behind the Huracan. For clients with a more understated style, a Ferrari 488 Spider in Rosso Corsa at the Drake Hotel driveway is an image that photographs beautifully without being loud. The F8 Spider does the same job in a more aggressive register. For the full wedding process see our Chicago wedding rental guide.
Corporate, convention, and pickup work
McCormick Place corporate clients book Ferraris for a very specific reason: the car does not scream "rental" the way a wrapped Lamborghini can. It reads as personal, as paid-for, as the owner's car. For executive dinners, C-suite pickups, and post-convention celebrations, our Ferraris do more work for less attention. Details in our McCormick Place rental guide.
The Chicago Ferrari Fleet
